Galfer are innovators in braking technology and are the company responsible for the original Wave® disc design and in fact hold the worldwide patent on that design. All wavy type rotors are not the same!!
For over 50 years, Galfer have supplied original equipment brake discs and pads to automotive and motorcycle industries worldwide and utilising the very latest manufacturing technology and materials have ensured consistent quality and high performance.
Galfer discs and pads are used by many Superbike and Supersport teams worldwide including Team Yoshimura Suzuki, Alstare Suzuki Corona and Ducati Coventry and Northpoint Honda here in the UK.
WAVE® DISCS
Wave® discs are a direct bolt on replacement for original discs, offering several benefits over conventional designs.
- High carbon content steel rotors offer superior friction properties.
- Significantly lighter than standard discs therefore reducing unsprung weight and gyroscopic effect (bike will turn easier).
- Wave® design offers a self-cleaning action to remove grime and water as it turns.
- The Wave® shape allows expansion and contraction with less tendency to warp.
- The shape of the rotor dissipates heat and cools as it rotates, meaning a lower running temperature of the whole brake system.
- A highly technical look is achieved.
SPEED KITS
Speed Kits are a boxed set of Wave® discs supplied with brake pads that are perfectly matched to the disc material to give optimum performance and life.
Designed for high performance, these kits are ideal for road and track day use.
By purchasing discs & pads together as a Speed Kit a saving can be made over ordering components separately, i.e.: the brake pads work out at half the normal retail price.
Front Speed Kits are listed containing Galfer’s high performance ‘HH’ rated, sintered metal G1375 road & track day pads.
Rear disc pads listed are Galfer’s semi-metallic G1651 performance pads, ideal for road or track.
Please note: Full manufacturer’s warranty terms will only apply when supplied and used with Galfer pads.

Several grades of performance brake pads are available for various different uses:
G1651 (Purple) – Semi Metallic high performance road front. Race & road rear.
G1375 (Gold) – Sintered metal HH rated high performance road & track day front.
G1003 (Black) – Semi Metallic competition front. SS / SM / SBK / Endurance
G1300 (Gold) - Sintered metal competition front. SS / SM / SBK / Endurance

BRAKE LINES
Galfer’s range of brake line kits are made with Dupont Braided Steel and are PTFE 62 Teflon coated to prevent scratches and protect the fluid from humidity. With either alloy fittings for racing, or nickel-plated ends for street use, the line kits come with banjo bolts and washers and are pre-formed and pre-packaged to suit most popular models. The Teflon coated lines are available in a choice of colours to order but the standard colour choice is dark smoked (giving a technical carbon fibre look). A full range of matching rear brake lines to accompany the fronts is also available.
