Silencer Options

Oval Race & Road Silencers

Oval silencers are constructed entirely from titanium and have the option of either a carbon fibre or a titanium outer sleeve. They are elliptical to help increase ground clearance and feature a tapered inlet for more heel space and better aerodynamics.

Oval Race Silencers are:

• Dyno developed with optimised length / diameter of baffle core and exit size to maximise flow.

• Available in full-length 98db or short ‘’Stubby’’ 103db versions.

Oval Road Legal Silencers are:

• ‘E’ Marked for road use but with a removable baffle insert to convert to a race silencer for track days.

• Extensively dyno tested to maximise flow whilst still complying with European noise levels.

• The lightest road-legal silencer on the market.

SP Road Legal Silencers

“SP” silencers are Akrapovic’s entry-level product, identical to their other oval silencers with the exception of brushed stainless steel end caps and baffles instead of titanium. This reduces manufacturing costs and makes the SP line very affordable. Supplied ‘E’ Marked for road use but featuring a removable baffle insert to convert them to a race silencer for track days.

Hexagonal Silencers

Akrapovic’s latest Hexagonal silencers are constructed entirely from titanium and have the option of either a high quality carbon or a titanium outer sleeve. They are hexagonal to help increase ground clearance, aerodynamics and aesthetics and feature a six sided silencer body with a Carbon-fibre four sided outlet cap cover. Exhaust flow is increased due to a hydro-formed titanium outlet cap interior so the performance of this latest offering is every bit as exciting as it’s looks.

Hexagonal Race Silencers are:

• Dyno developed with optimised baffle core and hydro-formed exit for maximum flow.

• Available in full-length 98db or short ‘’Stubby’’ 103db versions.

Hexagonal Road Legal Silencers are:

• ‘E’ Marked for road use but with a removable baffle to convert to a race silencer for track days.

• Extensively dyno tested to maximise flow whilst still complying with European noise levels.

• The lightest road legal silencer on the market.

Underseat Silencers

With the growth in popularity of underseat exhausts as original equipment, Akrapovic has developed a large range of model specific underseat exhausts that usually echo the shape of the original. Offering the same benefits as their Oval / Hexagonal ranges, but with some model specific features. See individual machine listings for further information.

• All Akrapovic silencers are supplied with a high quality, ultra light, carbon-fibre loop bracket.

• All silencers are packed with a ceramic wool and stainless steel mesh ‘sandwich’ for longevity.

• An optional carbon hanger bracket is available to replace the O/E pillion footrest hanger.

Exhaust System Options

'Slip-on' Silencer Kit

Slip-On silencer kits are dyno developed to optimise power and torque delivery and are supplied complete with conical stainless or titanium connecting tubes plus a carbon loop bracket and springs etc. Slip-On kits are available in road legal or racing versions, SP style and the latest Hexagonal designs.

‘Bolt-on’ Silencer Kit

Bolt-On silencer kits are, again, dyno developed to optimise power delivery and come complete with a carbon loop bracket, titanium bolts, thread-lock, and an o/e quality copper gasket. Bolt-On kits are available in road legal or racing versions, SP style and the latest Hexagonal designs.

'Super-Sport' Full System

Super-Sport systems are made from 0.8mm lightweight stainless steel and have specially ‘’optimised diameter” header pipes and CNC header flanges and joints to ensure a perfect fit. They are designed to maximise power and torque without fuelling alterations and are available for many street-bikes. Supersport systems have the option of being used with most of the Akrapovic silencer range.

'Racing Conical' Full System

Racing Conical systems are made from 0.8mm lightweight stainless steel and have tapered headers and crossover tubes to promote bottom end / mid-range in addition to peak power. These systems can be used on standard or tuned engines, on race or street bikes and are an ideal starting point for serious tuning. CNC header flanges and joints ensure a perfect fit with this line, much like all Akrapovic full systems. Racing Conical systems have the option of being used with most of the Akrapovic silencer range.

'Evolution' Full System

Evolution systems are available in either 0.8mm stainless steel or special Grade 3 Titanium alloy. They feature many complex construction techniques such as conical sections CNC flanges and joints and reinforced titanium crossovers etc. These systems are “as good as it gets” and develop awesome power gains, therefore being more widely used by top-level race teams than any other exhaust brand. Evolution systems have the option of being used with most of the Akrapovic silencer range.

• All header pipes are extruded and CNC bent in-house and then hand-welded by skilled craftsmen.

• Collectors feature unique deflectors and all internals are polished for maximum gas-flow.

• All systems slot together with springs for ease of adjustment, fitting and dismantling and all titanium systems come supplied with ‘anti-seize’ grease.

2. Healthy horsepower increases

• All research and development is done in-house on a Superflow dyno and exhausts only go into production once they are totally satisfied with the power characteristics.

• All systems offer healthy power increases, but conical headers offer the best gains. They are an excellent starting point for serious tuning work, as they will further increase results of internal engine modifications.

3. Significantly reduced weight over standard.

• Akrapovic complete systems are exceptionally light, usually weighing less than a standard silencer alone. This is due to the use of high-grade lightweight materials such as 0.8mm stainless steel, aerospace specification titanium and carbon fibre.

• Systems vary in weight but a good average is about 5-6kg for a complete exhaust system depending on silencer option and model, but weight savings can be up to as much as 14kg lighter than standard.

• Designed to be used at competition level at race circuits worldwide, Akrapovic race exhausts have to comply with noise regulations imposed at these tracks. They are comparatively quiet for a full race exhaust and comply with all F.I.M imposed noise levels!
